Custom characters are server-specific, local characters. Up to 1000 custom characters can be created on each server.
Custom characters cannot be liked, since they don't exist globally. They always have the lowest possible base kakera value of all characters on the server, since they have no ranking.
Custom characters cannot be grouped into sub-series or have their series names changed.
Creating a custom character[]
Syntax: $addcustom name $ gender $ type of rolls $ imgur link
- Gender should be replaced with f for female, m for male, and fm for both/neither.
- Type of rolls should be animanga, game, or both.
- To prevent errors when $im'ing characters, name should be something unique.
- Start out with only one imgur link; more pictures can be added later. Album and gallery links are not accepted.
Images[]
More images can be added with the command $imgcustom, or $ic. Though images can also be added with $ai (the command to add custom images to any character), Mudae will treat these as custom images, so it is recommended to use $ic.
Images should be uploaded to imgur. Direct links to the images must be used (there cannot be /a/ or /gallery/ inside the link, those are album or gallery links).
If you would like the images to look the same as official Mudae images, crop them to 225 pixels wide and 350 pixels tall in an image editing program, like photopea (website), Paint, or Photoshop. This border can also be used. This site will also crop images to the correct dimensions for you.
Additionally, these commands can be used to rearrange, swap, or remove images.
- To remove one image: $ic remove <name> $ <image position (between 1 and 30)>
- To remove all of them for a character: $ic removeall <name>
- To swap an image: $ic swap <name> $ <image position (between 1 and 30)> $ <new imgur link>
- To arrange the order of your images by their current positions: $ic arrange <name> $ <new 1st position> $ <new 2nd position> ...
Aliases[]
Additional names can be added with the command $namecustom, or $nc.
- Syntax to add an alias (for an existing custom character): $namecustom <name of a custom character>$<alias>
- Syntax to replace a name/alias: $namecustom swap <name/alias to replace>$<new name/alias>
- Syntax to remove an alias: $namecustom remove <alias to remove>
Aliases may have to be removed or renamed using this command if a character with the same name is added to the bot.
Changing gender or type of rolls[]
To change gender, use the command $gendercustom <name of a custom character>$<new gender>
To change type of rolls, use the command $typecustom <name of a custom character>$<new type>
Giving a custom character[]
Custom characters can be rolled and claimed normally, but unclaimed custom characters can also be given to anyone by a mod by using the command $givecustom. Custom characters are the only characters that can be forcibly given when they're not already claimed.
Deleting a custom character[]
A custom character can be deleted by using the command $deletecustom <name of a custom character>
Custom series[]
Though you cannot make an official series for your custom characters, there are some options to be able to group characters together.
Group by alias[]
Create another alias using $nc using the name of the "series". For example, if your series is called Bob's OCs, you could $namecustom John Doe $ John Doe (Bob's OCs). Do this for each custom character, and then find the list of characters by doing $imq! (Bob's OCs) (NOT $ima).
You can view more details, like character owners, by doing $imd (Bob's OCs).
Make sure your "series" name is unique. Alternatively, you can use square brackets like [Bob's OCs] which are rarely used in Mudae.
Group by notes[]
Have everyone who owns custom characters in a group note each character with a unique note, such as a certain emoji or a series of letters. Then use $fnall to find all the characters with the same note.
This will not work for unclaimed characters which cannot be noted, and it requires cooperation between people who own the custom characters of the "series".
Notes[]
- Custom characters do not give kakera upon divorcing. This means that giving and divorcing a custom character cannot give you any kakera.
- Custom characters can have their value increased with Keys. As well, the total amount of characters claimed on the server can increase the character's value.
- Custom characters are not included when the $haremcopy command is used.
- Custom characters cannot become your soulmate, though they have special text when you reach 10 soulkeys.
- Custom characters aren't disabled by $limroul in Gamemode 2.
- When calculating whether the number of characters exceeds the maximum harem limit of 10000, custom characters take up three character spots instead of one (this is not displayed). You can calculate your true harem limit by taking your total number of characters ($ts n @yourself) and adding 2 extra characters for each custom character you have ($mmi custom x 2).
