Captain Toad is a rollable game husbando primarily in the Super Mario Galaxy series in Mudae. He is a red Toad, most known for his distinct head lamp and large backpack. Captain Toad is the leader of the Toad Brigade, a group of explorers who seek treasure. In Super Mario Galaxy specifically, Captain Toad and his brigade assist Mario in the search for Power Stars. Though he is the leader, the captain has visibly displayed cowardice while feigning bravery. Alongside Toadette, he is one of the main characters in his own spin-off, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. As a playable character, Captain Toad's signature features contribute to the way he plays. His heavy backpack prevents him from being able to jump, and his headlamp can be used to fend off ghosts.
