Bowsette is a rollable animanga waifu primarily in the Super Crown series in Mudae. She is a gender-bent version of Bowser from the Super Mario series. Bowsette's creation is attributed to Ayyk2, a digital artist that created the initial comic strip that sparked interest in the character. Her humanoid form takes direct inspiration from the Super Crown item introduced into New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Bowsette was likely to have been popularized by the wide-ranged spread of memes and fan-art surrounding the character during late 2018.
