Amagi (AL) is a game waifu primarily in the Azur Lane series in Mudae. She is a battle cruiser for the Sakura Empire. Her real counterpart is IJN Amagi, a battle cruiser that had to be converted into an aircraft carrier after the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922. However, due to Amagi having been heavily damaged by an earthquake, Kaga was converted instead and Amagi was considered "lost". Amagi was available during the Crimson Echoes event in limited construction.
Her "damage" is represented by an illness, so she coughs often. Amagi is a very nice character and tried taking care of Kaga despite her behavior when she was still a proud battleship. She also cared for Akagi, Kaga's sister. Akagi was also intended to be a battle cruiser like her, something she could relate with. She strongly believes that if you knowing more about an enemy than he does you is the key to victory. Amagi's loss in Crimson Echoes is also implied to be the event that triggered a noticeable change in Akagi's behavior and personality, since she didn't have her possessive traits during the event's story.
